This Maimana Kilim Afghan rug was made in Afghanistan and selected for its rich flat-weave texture, outstanding tribal character, and beautifully detailed geometric pattern that complements modern home styling.
This rug features an incredibly intricate, multicolored central field anchored by a large, stacked diamond and hourglass composition. The central motifs shift beautifully from soft pink and amber yellow at the top to a cool mint green and cream core in the center. Framing this lively design is a wide border section filled with repeating geometric blocks of traditional bowtie-shaped tribal motifs in rich shades of turquoise, terracotta, lavender, and sage green. A clean cream outer band with a repeating triangular saw-tooth edge frames the entire piece.
