This Maimana Kilim Afghan rug was made in Afghanistan and selected for its rich flat-weave texture, outstanding tribal character, and beautifully detailed geometric pattern that complements modern home styling.
This rug presents a striking central composition featuring two large, cream-colored diamond medallions framed by jagged, multi-layered outlines of rich brick red and sky blue. A broad inner border band of deep red is beautifully decorated with repeating, multicolored bowtie-shaped tribal motifs and enclosed by a wide, crisp cream field. Framing the entire design is a bold outer border in deep indigo blue, densely packed with a sharp, repeating saw-tooth pattern.
